Eslam Mohamed, a resident of Augusta, Georgia, went out for dinner with his family at the Olive Garden restaurant on December 24. After their dinner, Mohamed, dining with 11 others, asked for the bill; however, instead of receiving the bill, he got a surprise he may never forget. A kind-hearted stranger had paid for their meal and left behind a beautiful note: Paid. Merry Christmas beautiful family. Mohamed posted a picture of the receipt on Facebook, along with his gratitude. He wrote:
“I can’t express how this act touched our hearts. Among all the bad things happening to Muslims and the hate speech that the presidential candidate had made lately, there is still light in the dark, there is still hope within the frustration. All what I can say to who did that, Merry Christmas to you too and God bless such a beautiful heart you have.”
