You can prevent these on your own by manually editing your hosts file with 127.0.0.1 that is if you are willing to do so. However, if you decide to edit it, please do make a backup in case something goes wrong.

Replace it with Linux
Linux Mint or Ubuntu are perfect for Linux newbies.
Gaming doesn’t work well, so I use Windows 8.1 for it.
Gaming works pretty good with the right card. I am a serious gamer who happens to play on Linux 99% of the time.
It is very perceptive to faults in hardware which makes it less steady as compared to other operating systems.
There is a little hardware support for Ubuntu OS. Some of the users complain that it becomes difficult to configure modem to start work on internet.
It is not possible to play the modern games in Ubuntu OS. It shows the poor graphics quality and ne have to use emulators to do so that harms the graphics quality.
Though Linux (Ubuntu) has number of free applications and software available on net, but most of the applications are not found for Linux use.
Ubuntu is not capable of playing MP3 files by default.
The forum support for Ubuntu is really very poor. It takes weeks and even months to get our query solved.
The installation of Ubuntu is one of the major problems. It does not come installed in modern PCs. One needs to install it by himself.
The drivers support is also absent in most of the cases as compared other operating system.
And finally one more major drawback of Ubuntu is that a user switching from Windows or MAC will not like user experience on Ubuntu and will have difficulty in operating the OS.
I would like to agree with you – but glitches , errors and shutdowns …failures on Ubuntu 16.04 makes me wanna back to W10 really fast!
You can use a macintosh, some games won’t work on it, but you can play more games on a mac than on a linux, there is not a ton of computer marks so you need to choose between: Mac, Window and Linux. If really you play a ton of games, I’m sorry, but you will keep using window, if you keep using window I will give you some advices: 1. Downgrade to vista or seven.
2. Go see some tutorials on how to remove the spywares.

YEAH. Anon People, if you want to be relatable and understood, try getting your grammar down, or use an editor who knows the English Language. You have a lot of good points to make and good causes to support, but you come off looking like losers when you can’t even spell.
Nothing can stop Windows 10 from spying, YET! Atm there are reported over 200 IP-addresses, you’ll need to block. None applications have them. There was an app on GitHub, but the developer does not have time.
Also, Microsoft officially stated months ago that Win 10 can’t be stopped from spying. Because it’s in the core of the system(It can, but they won’t).

I’d switch to Linux, but I like gaming, so DX12 games will be impossible to run without Win 10 and newer CPU’s won’t be supported by older versions than Windows 10.
But my hope is smart ppl that will fix this and that EU will save us. Because what MS Win 10 is doing is illegal due to EU-laws and regulations.

I have tried switching to Linux, several distros of Linux and it has been a disaster every time. Linux will be great when they get past the hobbyist development mentality and unify all the distros into one standardized Linux. In order to make it mainstream on desktops they will have too.
Trying to switch to Linux has made me realize how invested I am in the software that requires Windows. Can’t afford to switch to Apple and can’t stand the fragmentation and incompatibilities of the Linux distros.
