Investigatory Powers Bill: UK Govt Has Full Access To Your Browser History

United Kingdom: As part of the Investigatory Powers Bill, Internet providers are now required to keep full records of all websites visited by their customers. Provided below is a list they’ve compiled of the government agencies who now have access to your full browsing history.

The Investigatory Powers Bill, which was all but passed into law this week, forces internet providers to keep a full list of internet connection records (ICRs) for a year and to make them available to the Government if asked. Those ICRs in effect serve as a full list of every website that people have visited, rather than collecting which specific pages are visited or what’s done on them.

The list of agencies can be found in Schedule 4 of the Bill. Law enforcement services, the military, the secret service, and agencies such as the Food Standards Agency, and the Gambling Commission are included in the list.
