ISIS is using a self-made Android Application to recruit and communicate to their members. As you know, #OperationISIS, one of the famous operations of Anonymous, has proven to be incredibly successful.
As a result, it seems ISIS is finding it increasingly difficult to spread propaganda via social networking websites and other messaging service like WhatsApp, Telegram etc.
This Android application, which has been named “Alrawi,” uses encrypted communications, allowing them to discuss plans, mission, etc. without the fear of anyone spying on them. In addition, it is believed that this Android App is also being used for recruitment purposes. In the past, ISIS has used social media platforms to recruit new members.

Activist around the world are constantly working to remove ISIS’s propaganda and presence from the internet. For example, Telegram has suspended over 600 accounts of ISIS. If you have found any ISIS related account, you can report them to [email protected].
Alrawi” isn’t available on the Google Play Store, however, it can be found in the dark corners of web. Do not try to download this application, it is not recommended. GhostSec, which has made it their mission to eliminate the online presence of Islamic extremist groups such as Islamic State (IS), Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab, discovered the app’s encryption capabilities on January 11.
