Los Angeles has been in the news recently after gaining a new sports franchise which plans to build a 1.8 billion dollar stadium over the next few years: http://www.businessinsider.com/rams-chargers-inglewood-stadium-tour-2016-1

This is an ambitious project which may involve one or two other sports franchises and corporate partners hoping to benefit from the size of the Los Angeles marketplace. Sports aside this construction project is a direct investment in developing Los Angeles infrastructure/community and is one of the most public, political projects in the city right now.

When we have these kind of large corporate shifts there is a trickle down effect which occurs. With new revenue coming in from St. Louis and corporate partners converging, the politicians have more resources to combat city problems. One of the major problems confronting the Los Angeles area is the rampant homeless community which takes refuge here. With a new tourist attraction coming to the area the city of Los Angeles just passed new legislation in the for of a 1.9 billion dollars bill which will allocate funds to fighting the homeless epidemic over the next 10 years.  to fighting and hopefully cleaning up the homeless communities.
