Little Boy Grabs BB Gun, Police Officer Shoots Him With Real Gun

52

Written by: Aaron Nelson from theantimedia.org

On late saturday afternoon, a Cleveland, Ohio police officer shot a 12-year-old boy after the child pulled a BB gun from his waistband

A rookie officer and his veteran partner pulled into a parking lotoutside Cudell Recreation Center at Detroit Avenue and West Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday where they witnessed a collection of people sitting underneath a pavilion.

The rookie officer saw what turned out to be a BB gun sitting on a picnic table and says he saw the boy pick it up. The officer got out of his vehicle and told the child to put his hands up. The boy reached down, pulled out the BB gun, and the rookie officer fired two shots.

The child, whose name has not been officially released, did not threaten the officer verbally or physically according to Ed Tomba, the Deputy Chief of Field Operations. When a police officer fires at a civilian (in this case a child), the officer’s life is supposed to be directly threatened.

The deputy chief made a vow to the community that the investigation will remain open.

“When an officer gives a command, we expect it to be followed,” Tomba said. “The way it looks like right now, it wasn’t followed, but we’re going to continue our investigation.”

The boy was taken to Metro Health Medical Center in critical condition. The unnamed child passed away early Sunday morning due to the injuries he sustained from the bullets of law enforcement.

8 Lessons Learned from the Million Mask March that can Benefit all Activists

15

Written by: Justin King from theantimedia.org

The Million Mask March in Washington, DC provided many teachable moments for activists.

The Million Mask March takes Capitol Hill.

Expect arrest. At any protest, the chances of arrest are high. Getting arrested is a little unnerving the first time. It is important to stay calm and say nothing to law enforcement; you’ll be out before you know it. Don’t resist unless your life is in jeopardy. If the press is near, it is a certainty that you will be on the news. This is a chance to reach millions. Know what you are going to say. The Million Mask March takes Capitol Hill.[/caption]If you give the press a good sound bite, they will use it. Speak clearly to the press and look at the cameras. Keep the statement short and sweet.

Stay out of areas that can easily be sealed off. The Million Mask March occupied a tunnel simply because the protesters knew law enforcement wanted them to stay out of it. The decision to move into the tunnel occurred shortly after the crowd witnessed a Department of Homeland Security tactical team appeared. Had DHS wanted to end the protest, they could have blocked off both ends of the tunnel and started arrests.

You are reaching the uninformed. When engaging bystanders and the press understand that you are reaching people that may never have heard of Agenda 21 or GMOs. If you start the conversation with something that sounds crazy, even if it’s true, you will lose your audience. Rather than saying “The government killed Martin Luther King,” try “Domestic surveillance has run amok.” Yes, the government did kill MLK. It was proven in federal court, but the unawakened do not know this, and you will just look like a nut.

Arrests occur when activists are in small groups. Every arrest and attempted arrest (including mine) occurred when people were separated from the main body of the protest. There is safety in numbers and going off on your own is inviting law enforcement interaction.

The press will screw you. If an act of civil disobedience is taking place, it is important to chant why it is happening. If, for example, a cop car runs over a protester and the protesters surround the car and shake it, the news footage looks like protesters attacked the cop without cause. Make sure the audio on the footage provides context for the event. It’s harder for the mainstream news to edit the clip that way.

Mitigate the damage done by outspoken individuals. In every movement there are people that have extreme ideas. When the press finds them, as they always will, it is important to simply remove yourself from the footage. Don’t stand behind the person speaking and roll your eyes. This will shatter any image of unity. Don’t stand beside someone who is saying something you don’t support. When documenting protests, cameramen are trained to try to capture the protest in the background during an interview. If the background suddenly clears, the interview will be ended.

Don’t “out” undercover cops. As tempting as it is to simply call undercover cops out, there is a better use for them once they are identified. Photograph them and troll them. Stand near them and discuss fictitious people or plans. Lead them to believe that the majority of the protest is getting ready in the lobby of a hotel across town and will be marching to meet the group they are embedded with. If they take the bait, you have successfully divided their forces and increased the safety of the other protesters. You are really only limited by your imagination here.

Run into the crowd, not away from it. If you decide to run from police when they, for example, try to illegally detain you for filming on a public street, run towards the crowd. The crowd will help you blend in and disappear. Anonymous in particular has the added advantage of everybody looking the same. The majority of the crowd fits the description of “White male wearing a dark shirt and white mask.” Running away from the crowd gives the officers a clear line of sight. You might be able to outrun the tubby guy chasing you, but you can’t outrun his radio.

The next time you happen to be at a protest, keep these things in mind.

The collaboration between the United States and the European Union lead to a joint investigation; which in return helped them shut down many hosts and web sites that were offering special services.

Operating went under the code name Onymous, the FBI was able to seize more than four hundred web sites and other services; however the agency has not revealed the intel, as to how they discovered Tor’s hidden servers.

In one of their blogs Tor expressed its concern by asking the location of its hidden servers. It said that seventeen people were arrested. How were they able to find the servers and how were they able to locate them. Tor said if there is a flaw then Tor is interested in knowing about it. But the FBI is not willing to share this secret.
The sites that were taken down were clones or fakes of the real sites. Some of these real sites still are live:

These sites were mentioned in the press release and some other personal websites were also taken down by the Federal Board of Investigation. Surprisingly the FBI did not take down jihadi donation site (clone) and also left the real site running on TOR’s server.

Firefox Celebrates its Secure 10 Years By Adding Forget Button & DuckDuckGo Search

3

Written by: Anon.Dos

In this fast moving world of technology, the web has been a vital source of information. FireFox started ten years ago in a mono culture society of technology. Back then internet was limited to the usage of military and big firms. People like us believed that internet should not be available to a particular use of people, because it was more than that; a field of imagination and in one of those early years of web Firefox was making its mark. After ten years of development and hard work Firefox is celebrating by giving its users Firefox version 33.1.

As we all know Firefox has a wide range of applications that no other browser can offer. And they are great when it comes to securing your Firebox browser by many applications and using privacy mode. But all of which needs planning ahead, what if a person forgets to use that method or secure browsing and goes on to Twitter from work place. Or possibly wants to buy something for his wife but does not want to be seen by his co-workers; then he has to go to the tool menu and then dig all the way to erase history.

But now Firefox has come up with a better solution. They decided to provide Firefox with a Forget button on the main toolbar. So if a person forgets to enter private mode and wants to delete five minutes, two hours or even twenty four hours of their history can do so by simply clicking on that red forget button.

And to top it all, Firefox has added DuckDuckGo Search support in its browser. DuckDuckGo is a search engine that allows anonymous search. It does not keep any records of the user, does not want to access the cookies and logs no IP addresses. DuckDuckGo search feature was available in Firefox previously but only via add on. But now it is a default option among the others search providers in the search bars drop down menu.

Since Google introduced Chrome with its customizable interface and Web App Store, people have hurdled away from Firefox leaving its market facing down for years. But with this security update there is a chance for stepping back in the market game. Even if they don’t make it up to the mark as they expect their stock trend to be; with this update Firefox sure has given users a chance to consider Firefox once again.
