Dogecoin…power to the people?

14

Written by: Tech Anon

Ok… so, what the heck is Dogecoin?

“Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online. Think of it as “the internet currency.”*

Ok. Is this like a bitcoin?

Well, sort of. It’s a crypto-currency designed for “monetary transactions to be possible without going through a bank or other financial institution”.

A crypto… what?

In other words… There’s no one person or company in charge and there’s no middleman or bank to take a cut of the precious few sheckles you have.

OK…got it… I think. art-jacksonpalmer2-620x349

The whole technology really isn’t that complicated. To put the basics into a milk jug sized description… Let’s say you get a new credit card. You lock up that card in a safe place and never physically touch it. You can still use it right? Certainly! (if you can remember the numbers on it) you can use it on the net, at the grocery store…the whole world. Crypto-currencies are not in dollars, Yen, Pounds Sterling or any other titled currency other than it’s own namesake but, they do have an exchange rate. Bitcoin, Litecoin & Peercoin are some others that were or are in the mix right now also.

What’s the difference? Or, are they all the same?

Glad you asked! From the information found so far (after trying to decipher chaos in my head created by all the fine details of these systems) They all boast that transactions are completely safe and anonymity is protected. Anyone can use them, fees are nominal… blah blah blah.  It would seem that the two biggest differences are the cost of transactions and the time it takes to verify them as being done, accepted etc… The one thing that really sets Dogecoin apart from the others is… *drumroll please* …. Dogecoin was created by a charitable organization along with co-creator Jackson Palmer and continually raises money for anything from Olympic athletes to the creation of drinking water systems in Kenya and is also raising money to train service dogs for children with special needs. Take THAT Bitcoin! NYAH!

Comparable to the other online currencies, there is supposedly no “owner” or any single entity that has or can control the currency system.** This tech finds that really hard to believe. I compare that statement to someone telling me that computerized slot machines are completely random (well, except for that data cable that connects them to the mainframe) Unlike the other systems, it seems to have been designed for the everyday Joe or Joanne type of person. The transactions are claimed to be faster and less expensive than other systems on Dogecoin. They go so far as to say this right on their website “Dogecoin is cheap and readily available to the general public. Thus, it is clear that Dogecoin will become the go-to option for average consumers”*

Mom, Pop, Grandma, kids, neighbors and even doges can use this affordable alternative that has nowhere to go but up in the world. All debauchery aside… The question that pops to me first?  Is this the paved road to the new reality of a one world currency or will banks themselves band together to create their own system and make the same claims while skimming off the top of hundreds of thousands of transactions? My guess, Probably. World of “Blade runner”*** here we come!  Inevitably money is the reason things are done by a really high percentage of people in our world.  In this particular instance? We can go back to the old comparison of quantity vs quality. The percentage of middle and lower class earners is a heck of a lot higher than the high end. What’s easier in the hyperactive world of high speed computing? getting $1000 from 10 people or $.10 from 100,000? $.01 from 1,000,000?

Only time can answer these questions for us. Do or don’t do? Like or not like? There isn’t much we can do to stop it except for inventing something better. The only way for that is think together, work together and accomplish things together. We are Anonymous, we are one and we are strong!

Ferguson And The Use Of The FORCE MATRIX

4

Written by: Alek Hidell

I’d like to take a moment to try to analyze the Ferguson shooting of Michael Brown by Ofc. Darrel Wilson. I’m getting sick and tired of listening to my cop buddies try to twist what little facts we have to try to make this a good shoot. In reality it might have been. Doubtful, but again we don’t have enough facts to say anything with certainty. Working with what we do know, I will try to lay out what I feel happened and should have happened. Don’t get me wrong, I hate it when people Monday morning quarterback without all the facts, but I’m gonna do it anyway. Jumping right into things, if you see two people walking down the middle of the street, and you feel the need to stop them, you must have a whole lot of nothing to do if that is worth your time as a cop. If you do make a decision to stop out with two people, the first thing that needs to happen is you communicate your location and description of subjects to dispatch. This case would have been called out as a pedestrian violation or a citizen contact. With two people on scene, you need to call for a second unit.

In a town like Ferguson, I’d assume that once called out, you’d probably get a couple of officers showing up. So the first questions to ask are, did Ofc. Wilson call out the stop and Did Ofc. Wilson call for backup? These two things are routine in a situation like this. To take it a step further, this should have been done before his initial contact was made. Anything less is shoddy police work. Can you see how failing to do these things is an officer safety issue of massive concern? Wilson, from within the car, yelled to Brown and his friend, something along the lines of “Get the fuck out of the road!”. Show me a single police policy that allows for this kind of treatment of citizens, especially for doing nothing except possibly committing a pedestrian violation. The alleged “robbery” which I previously explained was nothing more than a simple shoplift, is irrelevant as it is doubtful Wilson even knew about it at this point. At some point, the car door opens and is either slammed shut or bumped off of Brown’s leg, who knows. Next, according to witnesses, Wilson grabbed Brown through the window of his car. A struggle was seen and witnesses stated that Wilson looked as though he was attempting to pull Brown into the car through the open driver side window.  If any officer makes the conscious decision to grab someone through the open window of their cruiser, they deserve whatever is coming to them.

Police work, especially safety, is not guess work. There are very specific methods to ensure officer safety, especially in a situation like this where all Wilson had was two J walkers. He should have called for backup, taken his time and addressed the issue when backup arrived. Or maybe if he would have just stopped the car and spoke to them like they were human, that might have helped. What was Wilson thinking when he made the decision to pull Brown into his car through the window or even just grab him, if that was the case? He wasn’t. Of all the shit cops I have met in my years on the force, none of them would ever attempt to grab someone through an open window of a car. This is one factor which leads me to believe that Ferguson Police have either no training or minimal training. For this you can blame the entirety of the City government of Ferguson. I have to assume that Wilson’s “blown out” eye as the media is calling it, occurred during the struggle inside the vehicle. Now at this point, you might have a valid battery on LEO charge, even if Wilson was wrong in his actions.

You can’t hit the police, regardless of what is happening to you. If the police are wrong in their actions, file a complaint by the book, but don’t fight the police. You’re just going to go to jail, most likely in worse shape than you were in before. So, at this point, Brown breaks free and runs. This completely ends the threat for Ofc. Wilson. Here he has many options. I am still unaware of any communications he might have had with dispatch up to this point. As a cop you learn to integrate communications with dispatch in everything you do. You literally can’t take a shit without calling out to dispatch on a “personal.” Police Force Matrix

So let’s evaluate. At this moment, Brown is running down the street. Wilson, who has already made a series of bad decisions, decides to run after Brown. Not only does he run after him, he runs after him with his gun drawn!  Obviously this guy has never heard of the Use of Force Matrix (Model). The Use of Force Matrix is a diagram of sorts which explicitly dictates what kind of force can be used in any given situation. It is a universal standard that all cops must adhere to. Please refer to the chart. If you’ll notice, the middle section is highlighted in yellow. This indicates the type of resistance demonstrated by Michael Brown. He was running. Forget about anything that happened before. This is a new and separate use of force incident. There is a definitive line separating the struggle at the car window and this. Once he broke free, his resistance could now be classified as Active Physical Resistance.

I’ll stipulate for a second that while engaged in the struggle in the car window, Brown may have been engaged in Aggressive Physical Resistance. If he struck Wilson at all, he was engaging in aggressive physical resistance (Assaultive on the chart). Whether or not he was in the right does not matter. You don’t fight the cops. They win. Now, the act of running is an act of active physical resistance. The level of resistance has decreased, therefore the response from the officer is mandated to decrease as well. The corresponding response authorized under the UFM is compliance techniques. Now what are compliance techniques? Pressure points, take downs, escorts, and everything up to and including straight getting your ass kicked, could all be considered compliance techniques. Remember, police can only use force for two reasons: defense and control. Defense is obvious. Control? Well that’s where the controversy lies. When a cop lawfully detains you, he has the right to physically control you as well. He can command you to sit down, stand up, go over there, whatever he feels is necessary for his own safety.

My biggest problem with this whole incident, is that none of Wilson’s actions corresponded to Brown’s level of resistance when looked at using the Use of Force Matrix. This is a big problem for Wilson. Even with the limited facts we have, once Brown took off running, the gun should have been holstered. Brown was unarmed, so there is no argument that he was an imminent danger to the community, which would be the only situation you would ever be justified in shooting a fleeing subject.

Now, I hate when people point out problems without offering solutions. So here is what should have happened. Let us be in agreement, that once Brown started running, the level of resistance decreased and a new use of force incident began.  Wilson should find himself in a situation where, from his perspective, he was attempting to detain a resistant subject, was battered in the process and now the subject is fleeing down the street. The only thing that should have happened, without exception, is a communication to dispatch. “Dispatch I have one running.” That’s it. At this point, dispatch will send out an alert tone on the radio and every Ferguson cop is gonna be on their way 10-18 (lights and sirens). You’ll have many options at your disposal in your efforts to capture the fleeing subjects, none of which involve a firearm. I wish I had more to say about a possible alternative action, but this is it. Nothing else should have happened. To give chase is to compromise officer safety. Good cops aren’t cowboys.

Now in the arguments you will hear, there will be talk of Officer Subject Factors. This basically is the relationship in height, weight, sex, age, strength and even sometimes specific knowledge about a person, between the officer and the subject.  For example, if a cop comes up against Mike Tyson, and Iron Mike were to lunge at the cop, due to Tyson’s known baddassery, the cop could be justified in shooting him, as a punch from Mike Tyson could kill or cause serious bodily harm. Bad example but you get the point.

To shoot an unarmed subject, one must articulate that due to officer subject factors, they had a reasonable belief that the possibility of death or serious bodily injury was imminent. Furthermore, they must articulate that the force used was necessary to overcome said injury or death. This brings me to the “charging theory.” Think about this. If the charging theory is attempted by Wilson, the officer subject factors are key. What are the OSFs in this incident? Brown’s height, weight and the fact that he had previously struggled with Wilson. So the real question is, after Michael Brown turned around with his hands up, assuming he did take steps toward or even charged at Wilson, did Wilson truly fear for his life? Wilson did not appear to be concerned with the observable officer subject factors when he pulled up next to him and yelled at him to get out of the street. Wilson did not appear to be concerned with the officer subject factors when he tried to grab Brown through his window. Wilson did not appear to be concerned with the officer subject factors when he decided to give chase.

What did Ofc. Darrel Wilson think was going to happen when he caught him? He didn’t  think about officer subject factors at any time during this entire incident and all of a sudden he remembers the use of force matrix, realizes that based on officer subject factors his life is in danger and proceeds to utilize lethal force? Really? If a six foot three, three hundred pound man assaulted you in your police car, struggled for your gun resulting in a shot being fired inside the car and you had a genuine fear for your safety, would you really get out and give chase? Fuck no. You’d call for back up and get some help out there before engaging two subjects. The fact that he got out of the car and gave chase with a gun in his hand tells me that he was suffering from tunnel vision and in a state of extreme hypervigilance and had no thought of his own safety. He was in cowboy mode after being defied by a subject. It has happened to us all. The difference here is that a human being is dead.

The one thing that I have yet to mention, is that if Wilson fired a single shot as Brown was running away, everything I have detailed here is irrelevant.  If a shot was fired at a fleeing unarmed subject while his back was turned, it’s game over for Ofc. Wilson. If the first shot was fired at Michael Brown’s back, who in the world is going to believe that this was anything other than a hothead cop who lost his temper? Because that’s what I believe. Should Ofc. Wilson take the blame for this alone? Absolutely not. The Ferguson Police Department is absolutely responsible for releasing officers unto the public who demonstrate such disregard for basic officer safety and apparent ill will toward the community. There are more factors involved than I care to cover today. This is the meat and potatoes of the issue. While I do empathize with Ofc. Wilson, and I understand all the emotional, psychological, political, and social pressures that he experienced as a cop up to the moment of this incident; he took a life. That is where my empathy draws the line. Cops make bad decisions all the time. I know I did. But when your bad decisions result in the taking of a life, I can find no reason to forgive. I definitely won’t forget.

The U.S. are involved with most Israeli attacks including Gaza

The new leaked NSA document released on The Intercept informs us how the US government is and has been long supporting Israel with weapons, cash and surveillance used in almost all Israeli attacks in the last decades.

Throughout the last decade the NSA has been increasing the amount of surveillance that Israel is receiving, this surveillance technology includes the data used to monitor and target Palestinian civilians. Weapon and cash trading has also increased significantly throughout the years so much that almost every Israeli attack has not been possible without it and the US still continues to aid Israel.

President Barrack Obama said last Friday at his press conference “it is heartbreaking to see what’s happening there” like he has nothing to do with it and it is all just a fake T.V show, as in fact this attack would have been hardly possible without the constant aid and protection of the US.

A quote from the leaked document states “NSA maintains a far-reaching technical and analytic relationship with the Israeli SIGINT National Unit (ISNU) sharing information on access, intercept, targeting, language, analysis, and reporting” practically announcing to us all that data between the US and Israel is more common than we thought. The US overwhelms Israel with the amount of aid they give, much more than needed.

Another quote from the document would be “The single largest exchange between NSA and ISNU is on targets in the Middle East which constitute strategic threats to U.S. and Israeli interests. Building upon a robust analytic exchange, NSA and ISNU also have explored and executed unique opportunities to gain access to high priority targets. The mutually agreed upon geographic targets include the countries of North Africa, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, South Asia, and the Islamic republics of the former Soviet Union.”

The US will most likely continue to aid and support Israel with the high amounts of weapons and surveillance for the foreseeable future, only creating more wars and genocide taking no liability for any of it.

Who was Behind the Vicious Verbal Attacks on African-Americans via Social Media?

29

Written by: Captain Planet

Michael Brown, 18 years old, was shot dead by the Ferguson Police Department after he was caught shoplifting a small item from a shop and running, choosing not to stop for the store owner or for police. He was shot six times, with the fatal head shot that ended his life being shot after the unarmed African-American had turned around to face police.

An attempt to justify Brown’s death was made by the Ferguson Police Department, who released video evidence of the “robbery”. A further video, recorded by a witness and taken by police as evidence (although not released to the public by police), has come to air. It shows two white police officers pacing back and forth next to Brown’s body.

“From it all initially happening, I knew this was not right.”

Piaget Crenshaw, a local resident, videoed the aftermath of the shooting that has sparked night time protests. After watching police chasing Brown and firing at the same time, and also witnessing Brown turning around to face officers only to be shot in the face, Mrs Crenshaw explains why she decided to film, saying, “It was something that clicked in me, like, somebody else needs to see this.”

“They are feral and violent”

It has been claimed that alongside the shocking revelations surrounding Brown’s death, the wife of Ferguson’s Police Chief, Patricia Jackson, posted a vicious, racist attack on African-Americans on her Facebook account:

ferguson_wife

“They are feral and violent. They murder each other. They murder their unborn babies. They murder white people. They hate police officers and murder some of them, even black ones. They destroy neighbors and entire cities with garbage and drugs. They live their lives off the hard-earned tax dollars of other Americans. Yet somehow they are the victims. What insanity is that?”

However, it has since emerged that the picture of Patricia Jackson and the Facebook quote was a hoax, and the post was eventually traced back to a Catherine Nardi, not Patricia Jackson.

The New Ebola Virus and the Truth They Don’t Want You To Know

19

Written by: Anon Watcher

In 2012 an official study was conducted to show how Ebola transferred between pigs and monkeys in separate cages, never placed in direct contact. The experiment suggested that the spread of Ebola could occur through droplets suspended in the air.

The official line on the Ebola outbreak and its transmission, however, was only through exchanging bodily fluids. This line has been used in the mainstream news since we first heard of the virus. Public health officials and the corporate media haven’t been telling you the truth.

It has been suspected for some time that the CDC honesty on this matter was questionable. The CDC recently made changes to its criteria for Ebola transmission; the ease of transference and contamination is concerning.[1]

According to the CDC update:

A low risk exposure includes any of the following:

  • Household member or other casual contact with an EVD patient.
  • Providing patient care or casual contact without high-risk exposure with EVD patients in health care facilities in EVD outbreak affected countries.

Casual Contact” Definition:

Casual contact is defined as a) being within approximately 3 feet or within the room or care area for a prolonged period of time while not wearing recommended personal protective equipment or having direct brief contact (e.g., shaking hands) with an EVD case while not wearing recommended personal protective equipment.”[2]

02c9fe954668bd6ef487d37adc05e32724d4541e

The argument then presents as to why the public haven’t been made aware of this sooner, so as to implement more effective procedures to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus?

With the Ebola presenting as a virus that can spread somewhat similar to that of the common influenza, and the mainstream media (backed by government) insisting that it is transferred by the exchange of bodily fluids, somewhat turns the general population complacent.

ebola-virus

As suggested by the new outbreak of Ebola is cause for alarm. It is not the Ebola Zaire that the world population is familiar with. Yes, it is 97% genetically, the same, but what isn’t been publically announced worldwide, is that this is a new strain that has the ability to “jump” boarders and spread aggressively. It is harder to contain. It has a three week incubation period, it has “hitchhiked on international flights” to Nigeria (due to the infected not being quarantined), and is “unprecedented” in its spread so far, in West Africa. The biggest question on anyone’s lips is, will it be contained or spread outside of Africa? [3]

The 2014 Ebola outbreak is the worst since its initial appearance in 1976. In five short months, 1145 lives have already been claimed, with the latest official figures of August: Liberia 413; Guinea 380, Sierra Leone 348, and so far Nigeria with a reported 4 – though this number could be underestimated at time of reporting, given 12 cases reported so far with a further 200 people under “surveillance” for the disease. [4]

_73750900_73747110

But to put in perspective, it was widely reported that only a week ago, from the time of this article written, the total lives claimed throughout the four countries so far, was 961. That is a jump in one week, of a possible 184 new deaths; an alarming rate. [5]

Nigeria is the fourth country to have been affected by the Ebola spread, bringing the tally of infection up to at least 2100 people throughout West Africa, according to the World Health Organisation reports. The Doctors Without Borders state that it will take “months to curb the outbreak,” even with precautions taken to discontinue airline flights to isolate the quarantined countries.

It is interesting in light of all of this, that the FDA has released a statement stressing that “Ebola does not pose a significant threat to the U.S. public,” according to the data released by the CDC. They go to state that the virus is not “water-borne or food-borne” and that it is “not transmitted through the air…spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person.”[6]Ebola-Virus-in-Nigeria-VIEWNIGERIA

The roundabout nature of reporting on the Ebola crisis in West Africa, is running a detrimental risk in the containment of the virus. Without implementing practical strategies that are used to fight the spread of other viruses, Swine Flu being an example, how can we expect the containment of the deadly Ebola, with a death rate of between 50 and 80 percent upon contraction of the virus?

After all, if the World Health Organsation is scaling up its response, saying “extraordinary measures are needed to contain the virus,” [7] then it is time for us to stand up and read between the lines about this potentially true horror that could reach us through our media and government implemented ignorance.
