This week’s episode of Saturday Night Live took on police brutality with a sketch about Detective Blazer — a white cop who goes out of his way to beat up every black man he comes across, even those men who aren’t criminal suspects.
SNL’s Detective Blazer, who says “I only beat up black guys”, is everything that is wrong with America’s cops.

Saturday Night Live also broached the sensitive topic of the riots in Baltimore this week, staging an absurd sportscast from the baseball stadium where a game went ahead without an audience.
