A Saudi prince, Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud was arrested in the US city of Los Angeles, California for allegedly holding captive of three women in his multimillion-dollar mansion in Beverly Hills.

The women, all believed to be illegal migrants were said to be employees of the 29-year-old prince from the Saudi royal family.

One of the women alleged that the prince force her to perform a sex act on him. And immediately upon posting a $300, 0000 bail, the police allowed the prince to empty his $37 million mansion and fled the country in his private jet to avoid civil litigation and criminal charges.

Witnesses said they saw many cars emptying the prince’s mansion shortly after he was released.

The prince was said to have been taken into custody on 30th September, 2015. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said they were called to the gated community in the 2500 block of Wallingford Drive, Beverly Glen area after a caretaker at the estate reported a ‘disturbance’.

A witness claimed he saw a bleeding woman screaming for help from the prince’s compound while attempting to climb over the 8ft wall surrounding the prince’s property. The police were quickly alerted.

The Counter Current News reported that Officer Drake Madison of the LAPD confirmed the prince was booked on suspicion of forcing one of his employees to engage in oral sex. The police also said they escorted some 20 people out of the house.

The prince was then held briefly for false imprisonment, sexual assault and battery. And after his bail posting, he was released and allowed to fly without further charges.

Although the prince is a royal member of the House of Saud, the US State Department has said the prince does not have any diplomatic immunity. And it is unclear who cleared him to leave the country when he is being accused of such a crime.  One of the prince’s neighbors, Eric Stiskin said “I am sure he has taken off on his private jet by now. I don’t think he even needs a passport to get out of here”.

The women have filed a civil lawsuit, accusing the prince of inflicting emotional distress, assault and battery, sexual discrimination, and retaliation against them. They claimed he attacked them inside his home for several days until his arrest.

To avoid paying taxes and fair wages, many affluent residents from the rich Gulf Nations who reside in Beverly Hills and its surrounding communities often employ illegal immigrants. They also take advantage of their situation to perpetrate all kinds of abuses against them.

The Daily Mail reports that For the past few summers, rich young Saudis, Qataris, Kuwaitis and other Middle Easterners, accompanied by their personal Ferraris, Bugattis and Aventadors, have flocked to the Beverly Hills after their former haunts in Paris, London, Cannes and Monaco became less receptive to the crush of super-expensive supercars with Arabic tags drawing crowds of gaping rubberneckers.

Local residents of Beverly Hills have also said in the past that due to the fact that these wealthy royal families spend exorbitant amounts of money in the area, police are encouraged to take a hands-off approach instead of the aggressive tone set in lower income communities.

  1. Saudi does not give any American diplomats immunity, why should he get any. Having spent time in Saudi, I do not doubt the victims stories.
