Jim Murray, an electrical engineer, researcher, and inventor, has re-discovered the method Nikola Tesla used to “magnify the power” of an electrical generating system. His Switched Energy Resonant Power Supply (SERPS) technology has been shown to operate at coefficient of performance (COP) > 50 when operating resistive loads. SERPS operates on the same power magnification principles that Nikola Tesla used to amplify the power in his generators.

Like Tesla, Jim’s research has also been scrutinized by the FBI. Jim too has had a run-in with the FBI because of one of the projects he was working on.

I believe that some people were successful with such inventions. However, you always need to keep in mind that sharing the knowledge under such conditions is extremely vital if you really want it to survive. I am very curious about these claims but I also want to see hard data. Claim without a proof has always been a bullshit. Maths, physics or (if there is no explanation) at least the method to replicate the experiment. Otherwise do not count with me to believe in your skills.

As for your statement about making money, well, this kind of product should be relatively simple to make money off of, if only by selling or licensing it to the power companies, who would love to spend less money making power.
In any case, if you are returning more power than you started with, that is a violation of physics and almost doesn’t need to be tested, especially when you are claiming 50x more energy.

The gentleman in the story apparently does not have a website what’s up with that? You know a place where he can state his credentials, such that they can be checked? You know, where was he schooled, what degrees did he earn, where has he worked, that would indicate to you his crowdfunding site is nothing but a scam?
The reason he does not is because what he has proposed is a perpetual motion machine based on an impossibility that a machine can “amplify” the total power put into it. Power companies everywhere would pay billions for a perpetual motion machine, so what is this guy’s problem other than being a loser with apparently no patent on his so-called SERPS “technology”?
The patent office requires all such perpetual motion machines to be built and demonstrated before issuing patents on them. The reason this man is stuck with no recognition but with a lucrative crowd funding page is because he is a scam artist. Final thought: If you get an opportunity to get non-ethanol gas take a whiff of the nozzle about 12-24 inches from your nose then go to a regular ethanol infused pump and take a whiff of that too and tell me which smells like oil and which smells musty as hell.
In addition see how much water is coming out of tail pipes from newer vehicles. Also I notice that newer exhaust have breather valves that water escapes from too. Mine is behind the driver rear tire. 15 years ago with the amount of water escaping through your exhaust meant that you had blown head gaskets by the amount of water coming out of tails pipes when they are warm.

If you actually listened to what he said in the video and what is in the text, you would know that he didn’t claim to have invented a machine that could “acquire power out of the blue”. His product simply optimizes an existing technology with a huge amount and thereby converts would-have-been wasted energy into usable energy 🙂

That doesn’t sound like an optimization to me. Even if it is, the only way this is viable is if you are starting with a horribly inefficient system. If you are getting 48 times the power out of something, that means that you are getting 49 units of power out of something you got one unit out of before. That means that, at best, you were getting around 2% efficiency. And that is assuming that this method of his is 100% at reclaiming lost energy, which would require his mechanism to not only run cool but completely silently.
What do you think transformers do? Step UP power after the generating station (13kv-34.5kv) to transmission voltages up to 765kv.
Larry, Power remains same ideally. Realistically, you lose a little due to losses. In step up transformers, if voltages go up, current comes down. In step down transformers, vice versa. You cannot have a source of free energy.
Since when did voltage become equal to power?
Stepping up the VOLTAGE in a transformer lowers the CURRENT proportionally.
