Edward Snowden Receives 47 GB Of Emails From Twitter

When NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden joined Twitter on September 29, his first tweet was favorited 1,20,246 times and got 1,23,204 re-tweets. His account was verified in less than two hours. Within a week of joining the online social networking service, he garnered some 1.37 million followers. That’s a flattering response; however, it actually left him flabbergasted.

Though he must have checked the security and privacy settings of Twitter, one of the world’s most wanted men forgot to disable email notifications under the notification settings. As expected, his account was inundated with a whopping 47GB of email notifications from Twitter – replies, followers, re-tweets and DMs were sent as an individual alert to the former NSA analyst.

Snowden follows just 1 Twitter account and it’s none other than @NSAGov.

  1. Someone at AnonHQ needs to hire a proof reader as many of the articles that are coming out lately fall short of the literary standards that are required if you really want to be taken seriously.
