Occupying Wall Street “Is Not Enough”

0

Occupy Wall Street” was the very image of pointless resistance. According to the mainstream media: “it had no leaders, no plans and no real demands.” However, it has finally achieved one thing… they made it OK for us ‘plebs’ to speak out against the 1% — or rather the 0.01%. Even Hillary Clinton has decided to hop onto the poor-middle-class bandwagon (albeit while still accepting millions from her corporate backers via her “speaking” arrangements).

So why has Occupy finally “succeeded?” Well, it was born from a good idea — one that needed to be aired and repeated until people finally “got it.” It may not have had leaders or wealthy backers, but that was the point. The idea would outlast us all: that we the people are being subjugated by the wealthy corporations and 0.01%. It was unfortunate that Occupy did not demand real actions, and relies to this day on politicians who we understand to be in the pay of these very politicians to “carry out” (or hijack) the process of equalizing America.

Now that we have been made aware of this great inequality, thanks to Occupy, I would greatly prefer that we focus on solving this problem by NOT electing a president who is one of the 0.01% (Donald Trump), serves the corporations (Hillary Clinton), or part of a political dynasty that is responsible for not one but TWO Iraq wars (Jeb Bush), with the last one causing over a million deaths. Occupying is not going to be good enough if we don’t evict the corrupt politicians or corrupt bankers who are responsible.
