BREAKING: Club Shooting – At least 22 People Shot – 2 DEAD

0

Two people were killed and 20 wounded in a shootout that began when three shooters wearing ski masks and hoodies sprayed bullets at a crowd gathered for a rap album release concert in Northwest Miami-Dade early Sunday morning, in what police said was the worst mass shooting in the county in recent memory.

Three of those injured are in critical condition, according to police.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding whoever opened fire at a Florida club Sunday, killing at least two people and wounding at least 20 more, Miami-Dade police director Alfredo Ramirez III said.

Shortly after midnight, a white Nissan Pathfinder pulled up to the El Mula Banquet Hall near Hialeah.

That’s when three people “stepped out of the vehicle with assault rifles and handguns and started firing indiscriminately into the crowd,” Ramirez said.

The shooting started shortly after midnight, Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo “Freddy” Ramirez said, when three shooters armed with handguns and semi-automatic rifles emerged from a white Nissan Pathfinder and fired dozens of bullets “indiscriminately” into a crowd gathered for a rap concert outside the El Mula Banquet Hall near the Country Club of Miami. Ramirez told the Miami Herald that the shooters sat patiently in the vehicle waiting for the target — or targets — to leave the club before exiting the SUV and taking aim.

Some unidentified people in the crowd shot back at the suspects, Ramirez said.

The aftermath was so chaotic — with paramedics, friends and family members driving victims to various hospitals in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties — that police on Sunday afternoon were still trying to identify everyone who was shot. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took eight of the injured to Miami-Dade and Broward hospitals, said Miami-Dade police spokesman Detective Angel Rodriguez. He said at least 12 other victims went to various hospitals on their own.

The two people killed in the shooting were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators had not identified any victims, suspects or motives in the shooting by mid-Sunday afternoon. But Ramirez said during an early-morning press conference outside the Country Club Shopping Center, where the shooting took place, that the latest attack was “definitely not random.”

“This type of gun violence has to stop,” Ramirez said, asking anyone with information on the shooting to come forward, and promoting on Twitter a Miami businessman’s offer to give $100,000 to anyone with information leading to an arrest. “Every weekend it is the same thing. This is targeted.”

Police going through the scene Sunday morning found dozens of bullet casings. They scoured social media and planned to staff any other parties around town with off-duty cops.

As technicians continued to document the massive crime scene, the hunt was on for the three masked attackers — believed to be men — and the white Nissan Pathfinder they used to ambush the crowd and escape. Investigators also began poring over social-media accounts and surveillance videos, trying to determine whether the rappers or their associates — or other attendees who went to the club — had been targeted as part of an ongoing feud.

Meanwhile, family and friends of the victims waited outside of Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, at one point holding hands in a prayer circle as they awaited news of their loved ones.

“We believe this is a targeted act of gun violence,” said Ramirez, whose department has dealt with an uptick in gun violence in recent months. “This is a despicable act of gun violence, a cowardly act.”

EL MULA BANQUET HALL

The venue where the shooting occurred, El Mula Banquet Hall, located in the Country Club Shopping Center in an unincorporated area north of the State Road 826 big curve, has been on the radar of police for some time.

El Mula, which used to be called Magic Mushroom, had been rented out for the evening, according to police. The venue, located at 7630 NW 186th Street, was hosting a Memorial Day Weekend album release party on Saturday night featuring live performances from local rappers, including ABMG Spitta, according to several event fliers posted on Instagram. The flyer incorrectly listed Hialeah as the city where the event was taking place.

Ramirez said one of the victims shot in the ankle was a rapper, although he couldn’t confirm if it was the same rapper advertised on the flier.

The owner of El Mula is listed as Joseph Medlin, 28, of Hollywood, who also runs a daycare in Dania Beach. His Instagram had been live on Saturday morning, but was later taken down. He did not return multiple calls and messages seeking comment on Saturday.

El Mula’s Instagram account, which had been publicly accessible most of Sunday, was abruptly changed to private. And another event planned for Sunday night at El Mula was canceled because the banquet hall is still an active crime scene.

A promoter whose cell number is included on El Mula’s Instagram page declined to answer any questions from a reporter. “I have nothing to do with that club,” he said on Sunday morning. “I don’t know what happened last night.”

Ignacio Alvarez, a retired Miami-Dade police major who worked the district where Sunday morning’s shooting occurred until 2016 and now runs a Miami law firm, said he’s quite familiar with the club where the shooting happened. He said the space has been rented out for years for parties and several times police were called to break up fights.

“They never gave police a heads up when they were having large parties,” he said. “There were lots of fights. At least back then, they weren’t hiring off-duty officers. At the very minimum, they should have had off-duty or told police about the event.”

Facebook Lifts Ban On Posts That Claim Covid-19 Was Man-Made

0

Facebook has lifted a ban on posts claiming Covid-19 was man-made, following a resurgence of interest in the “lab leak” theory of the disease’s onset.

The social network says its new policy comes “in light of ongoing investigations into the origin”.

Social network says policy comes ‘in light of ongoing investigations into the origin’ of virus.

In February, Facebook explicitly banned the claim, as part of a broad policy update aimed at “removing more false claims about Covid-19 and vaccines”. In a public statement at the time, it said: “Following consultations with leading health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), we are expanding the list of false claims we will remove to include additional debunked claims about the coronavirus and vaccines.”

Did Covid come from a Wuhan lab?

Anyone posting claims that Covid-19 was “man-made or manufactured” could have seen their posts removed or restricted, and repeatedly sharing the allegation could have led to a ban from the site entirely.

On Wednesday, the company said: “In light of ongoing investigations into the origin of Covid-19 and in consultation with public health experts, we will no longer remove the claim that Covid-19 is man-made from our apps. We’re continuing to work with health experts to keep pace with the evolving nature of the pandemic and regularly update our policies as new facts and trends emerge.”

The change follows a Wall Street Journal report that US intelligence sources believe there is some evidence to warrant further investigation of the “lab leak” theory. According to the newspaper, three staff members at the Wuhan Institute for Virology sought hospital treatment for flu-like symptoms in November 2019. Others have criticised the reporting, noting that it still relies on circumstantial evidence and speculation.

Did the Simpsons Predict Again Right? More Predictions Inside

0

Centuries ago, we had Nostradamus. And now we have The Simpsons.

But just because the show, which has been running for decades now, has managed to get a few things right over the years (like US President Donald Trump’s election. Or even the coronavirus pandemic), it does not mean that every incident that occurs can be traced back to The Simpsons.

For the past few days, photos that have flooded Twitter seem to suggest that The Simpsons had predicted the riots at the Capitol.

US Capitol Hill riots

‘The Simpsons’ predicted the seemingly inconceivable riot in the US Capitol. The Episode 4 of season 32 which aired on November 1, 2020 straight up predicted civil war, violent protests, and Trump supporters basically destroying the US.

Simpsons predict something similar to coronavirus

In the episode that was aired 27 years ago, The Simpsons predicted a virus outbreak similar to that of a coronavirus. Although they named it Osaka virus and claimed that the virus originated from Japan, the symptoms were pretty similar to that of coronavirus.

The series had a similar kind of prediction regarding the Ebola outbreak in Africa.

Donald Trump as the President

In an episode aired in 2003, Donald Trump was seen as the President. In 2016, Donald Trump indeed became the President of the United States of America.

Magicians Siegfried and Roy attacked by white tiger

In 1993, one of the Simpson’s episode featured a magician’s show which was similar to the Siegfried and Roy kind. That episode showed magicians being attacked by one of the white tigers. The predictions came true in 2003 where Siegfried and Roy were attacked by one of the white tigers, he came out alive.

The smart watch concept

We all thought that Apple was the first company to come up with the concept of smartwatches, well, here’s where you are wrong! The Simpsons were using smartwatches way back in 1995.

Higgs Boson equation

In a 1998 episode, “The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace,” Homer writes out an equation on a chalkboard which, if solved, “would get [one] the mass of a Higgs boson that’s only a bit larger than the nano-mass of a Higgs boson actually is,” says Simon Singh, science author.

Trump Supporters Storm & Capture U.S. Capitol in Washington – First Woman Shot Dead

2

The US Capitol in Washington DC is locked down after supporters of President Donald Trump clashed with police and stormed the building.

  • A woman died after being shot inside the Capitol on Wednesday after violent pro-Trump protesters stormed the building, according to NBC News.
  • An MSNBC producer shared images of someone who appeared to be injured being transported on a stretcher. The news outlet also reported that a law enforcement official fired the shot.
  • CNN reported that the woman was in critical condition after being struck in the chest, while the Washington Examiner said she was hit in the neck and shared a graphic video.
Among the supporters of President Donald Trump who mobbed their way into the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, one – unmistakable in his fur, horned hat and painted face – was Jake Angeli, a QAnon supporter who has been a fixture at Arizona right-wing political rallies over the past year.

The US Congress was meeting today to certify Joe Biden’s victory in the November election, with more than 100 Republican congress members vowing to object to the results in several states.

Around the same time, Trump addressed thousands of demonstrators who had amassed outside the Capitol to cheer his baseless claims of voter fraud and to protest the results.

Trump falsely said he won the election as he spoke on an outdoor stage framing the White House. He urged his supporters to march to the Capitol, telling them to “get rid of the weak Congress people” and said “this is the time for strength”.

U.S. Capitol police were fought back with their own weapons: teargas.

“We’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them,” Trump said.

At the rally, Trump’s top lawyer Rudy Giuliani called on Trump supporters to settle the dispute over the election through “trial by combat”.

Police couldn’t stop the mob.

How did the rally unfold?

A crowd of thousands gathered at the “Save America March” to listen to Trump, wearing red baseball caps and cheering as he spoke.

They then made their way towards the US Capitol building.

While the joint session of Congress was continuing, protesters pushed past the police lines set up on the steps. In footage uploaded to Twitter, furious men screaming “traitor” were seen trying to to rip open the barricades.

Some members of Congress and journalists took to social media to say they were told to “shelter in place” at their offices after reports some protesters broke through barriers.

Finally they got in.

What happened inside the building?

An announcement was played inside the Capitol as lawmakers were meeting saying that due to an “external security threat”, no one could enter or exit the Capitol complex.

Both chambers abruptly went into recess and the debate over the electoral count was suspended.

Protesters entered the Capitol Building, bypassing security and metal detectors.

House members were told to don gas masks, as tear gas was fired in the Rotunda.

The United States Senate and House of Representatives were evacuated, and Vice President Mike Pence and lawmakers were whisked to secure locations.

Incredible pictures showed security officials with guns drawn on the floor of the US House of Representatives, people fighting with police in the Capitol Rotunda, rioters smashing windows and streaming into the building where the nation’s leaders had gathered to count votes sealing President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

Protesters could be seen marching through the Capitol’s stately Statuary Hall shouting and waving Trump banners and American flags.

One got up on the dais and yelled: “Trump won that election.”

National Guard troops were deployed and a citywide curfew called for shortly after dusk.

The New York Times also reported that a pipe bomb was found at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee in Washington and that the Democratic National Committee headquarters was evacuated after security discovered a suspicious package.

Has anyone been injured?

A woman was shot and has since died. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear.

The police chief of Washington DC said pro-Trump protesters deployed “chemical irritants” on police in order to break into the Capitol.

Police Chief Robert Contee said officials have declared the scene a riot. Thirteen arrests were made of people from out of the area.

Has Trump responded?

After egging on his supporters for several hours at the rally, Donald Trump tweeted that they should “stay peaceful”.

“Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement,” Trump tweeted. “They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!”

Under increasing pressure from both sides of politics to condemn the protesters, he then issued a video on Twitter telling protesters to go home in peace.

The video was issued more than two hours after protesters began storming the Capitol.

Trump opened his video, saying, “I know your pain. I know your hurt. But you have to go home now.”

He also went on to call the supporters “very special.” He also said, “we can’t play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You’re very special.”

Almost two hours later, as a curfew was imposed in Washington DC, he tweeted again, telling his supporters to “remember this day forever”.

What did Biden say?

President-elect Joe Biden called for the restoration of “just simple decency”.

He had planned to deliver a speech focused on how to revive an economy and provide financial relief for small business owners reeling from the coronavirus pandemic from his native Delaware.

But shortly before he was to begin speaking, demonstrators broke into the capital.

“At this hour our democracy is under unprecedented assault unlike anything we’ve seen in modern times,” Biden said, adding that what unfolded was “an assault on the rule of law like few times we have ever seen it”.

He said the uprising bordered on sedition, adding, “The scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not reflect a true America, do not represent who we are”.

“I call on this mob to pull back and allow democracy to go forward,” Biden said. “At their best the words of a president can inspire, at their worst they can incite.”

How have others responded?

Vice President Mike Pence has called on rioters to stop the “violence and destruction”.

“Peaceful protest is the right of every American but this attack on our Capitol will not be tolerated and those involved will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Pence tweeted.

“The violence and destruction taking place at the US Capitol Must Stop and it Must Stop Now. Anyone involved must respect Law Enforcement officers and immediately leave the building.”

Meanwhile, Democrat Ilhan Omar from Minnesota will call for US President Donald Trump to face a fresh impeachment hearing and be removed from office.

BREAKING: Trump Claims Final Victory: ‘Won with Legal Votes’ – (VIDEO)

0

“If you count the legal votes, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us,” Trump said at a White House press conference, predicting “a lot of litigation.”

The president alleged that pre-election polls were designed to favor Democrats in order to “suppress” the vote from Republicans. The Trump campaign has attempted to sue for vote recounts in Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan, and Georgia, although judges have struck down attempts in the latter two states. As Joe Biden racked up wins in swing states, Trump wrote on Twitter that his campaign would attempt to investigate the results for possible fraud.

“All of the recent Biden claimed States will be legally challenged by us for Voter Fraud and State Election Fraud. Plenty of proof – just check out the Media. WE WILL WIN! America First!” Trump wrote in a post that was censored by Twitter. In another censored post, Trump claimed that “ANY VOTE THAT CAME IN AFTER ELECTION DAY WILL NOT BE COUNTED!”

During the press conference, Trump also sought to portray his campaign as part of a transformation of the Republican party.

“Democrats are the party of the big donors, the big media, the big tech, it seems,” Trump declared. “And Republicans have become the party of the American worker, and that’s what’s happened.”

Additionally, Trump said that Republicans were now the “party of inclusion.” The president has gained support among Black, Asian, and Latino voters when compared with 2016 election results, according to Edison exit polls. Around one quarter of non-white voters in the U.S. voted for Trump this year, the most for any Republican candidate since Richard Nixon in the 1960 election.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden improved on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 results among college-educated white voters, according to CNN exit polls. President Trump’s biggest well of support came from white voters without a college education, Edison polls showed. However, the Edison surveys also point out that more Americans with an income of over $100,000 per year voted for Trump than for Biden.
