Pro-Cannabis Reporter Quits On Live TV. 6 Months Later, Cops Raid Her Legal Marijuana Club.

Frustrated with KTVA’s anti-cannabis propaganda, anchor Charlo Greene quit in September 2014 on-air and became an advocate for the legalization of recreational marijuana in Alaska. Alaskan voters last year approved a ballot-measure legalizing the recreational use of marijuana, but it’s still illegal to sell the drug in public places. So when Anchorage police apparently received reports of illegal marijuana sales at Greene’s Alaska Cannabis Club, she retaliated.

“This is basically a medical marijuana dispensary. We don’t sell any recreational marijuana; we don’t sell any medical marijuana. This is a place for card holders to come and share their own cannabis. By opening back up bright and early, less than 24 hours after the local police department’s failed scare tactic, we, at the Alaska Cannabis Club, have made it clear that the will of the people is stronger than any force they have — and we aren’t going anywhere,” Greene told the Associated Press.

Police  executed a search warrant which alleged that: “there is now being concealed property, namely: Marijuana, in cultivation or harvested, resins, oils, hashish or other THC derivatives, concentrates, edibles and equipment used in the extraction of THC,” as well as other “illegal transactions.” They took a few marijuana plants as well as an assortment of bongs, pipes, phones, and computers. They also impounded a Dodge Dakota and a Jeep Liberty from the club.

Greene had resigned live on-air in order to fight for marijuana legalization. After fronting a piece on a medical marijuana club, she told viewers: “I – the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club – will be dedicating all of my energy for fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but … fuck it, I quit”.

Greene’s was a “Pot Club” and not a “store” making any pot “sales” whatsoever. The club had broken no laws, no arrests were made and no one was charged with a crime either. Was Greene targeted solely because she spoke out against KTVA’s anti-marijuana propaganda?

  1. Just wanted to say what a good job you have been doing! 🙂 I am also Pro Marijuana so thank you for your efforts.

  2. I for-see the Global Network on the Horizon. Soon we will be working together to ‘ARREST’ dirty cops and humanely detain them. The fact that no one was charged with any crimes, but property was seized, merely confirms certain police are really just wolves in sheep’s clothing. We outnumber the 1% and their minions, take the authority back! Power to the people, from the people, for the people. Shared responsible of authority. These types of things must come to fruition.
